The aim of the LOVE WESTON initiative is to mobilise 1,000+ Christians in united prayer expressing care for this town - street by street.
Since 2007 and HOPE ’08 we have been privileged to be part of a succession of prayer initiatives in and around the town. More recently we have been running café style prayer gatherings bi-monthly at Emmanuel Church. At the Wembley Stadium National Day of Prayer in Sept 2012 and World Prayer Centre Trumpet Call gatherings in more recent years, a number of local Christians were inspired and challenged to instigate united prayer across every street of our town, villages and district.
2018 birthed a new initiative - PRAYER FLASH MOBilisation for important issues affecting our town. The first of these being an evening of prayer for Weston General Hospital.
There are many good things happening around Weston already that express God’s love and our unity. However, we sense that there is a compelling prophetic call for us to pray more and to do more together as God’s Church.
Psalm 11 (verse 3) asks the probing question: ‘When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?’ We all know that the Christian foundations of British society are being progressively eroded.
When such things happen, there will be consequences for any nation - but also for the towns within it. For Weston to be ‘a town in which the Lord takes delight’ (Jer 49:25) we Christians have a responsibility to care, pray and witness to the truth of the Gospel. We are a ‘sent people’. We believe God loves this fine town and the people who live here.

Please do come to our next event, which will be a Prayer on the Hill gathering, on Uphill Hill, with praise, prayers and blessings proclaimed over the town and district - on Saturday 9th July 2016 - we will start at 7.30pm.
We had a vision of ‘spiritual bonfires’ across Weston, which will change the spiritual temperature of our town. We will be sharing more about our vision for 2014 at this meeting.
Thank you in advance for your participation. We look forward to seeing and sharing many positive outcomes from this initiative.
'He has shown all you people what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.' Micah 6:8
