Global Week of 24-7 Prayer 2026

 Prayer:

JOIN THE GLOBAL WEEK OF 24-7 PRAYER - in WESTON-SUPER-MARE

Launches 6pm, Sunday 6 September  ·  6–13 September 2026  ·  Milton Baptist Church, Baytree Road, Weston-super-Mare, BS22 8HJ

One Name. Every Knee. All Weston.

From 6–13 September, churches all over Weston-super-Mare - and all over the world - are coming together for a week we won't forget. Love Weston, in partnership with Milton Baptist Church, is opening a Prayer Room right here in our town, launching at 6pm on Sunday 6 September — and you're invited to be there.

A whole week of non-stop prayer. This isn't a service. It's not a meeting you have to sit still for. It's a space - set apart, just for prayer - open every day from 8am to 10pm. And even when the room's doors are closed overnight, the prayer doesn't stop: people are praying from home, from work, out on a prayer walk around their neighbourhood - so that day and night, all week long, someone in Weston is always praying. A town that never stops praying.

We're joining thousands of prayer rooms opening in nations across the globe for the Global Week of Prayer, uniting believers everywhere around one theme: ‘At the Name of Jesus.’

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:9-11

Declaring the name of Jesus in our town

This year, churches across the world are using the week to declare one simple truth — that Jesus is Lord over every town, city and nation. In Weston-super-Mare, we're taking that same bold, simple step, together: One Name, Every Knee, All Weston.

What actually happens in a Prayer Room?

Picture a room that's been made beautiful and creative on purpose — soft lighting, music, art, places to kneel, places to write, places to just sit and breathe. Around the room are different prayer stations, each one a simple, hands-on way to bring something to God — whether that's writing down what's weighing on you, praying for people who don't know Jesus yet, or just sitting quietly in his presence.

There's no pressure, no script, and nobody watching to see if you're "doing it right." You can pray out loud or in silence. Journal. Kneel. Sit on a beanbag. Cry if you need to. Worship if you feel like it. It's just you and God, in a space made for exactly that.

Come for five minutes or five hours

Here's the best part - during the day, you can turn up whenever you like. Any time between 8am and 10pm, there's no fixed start time, no formality, no expectation. Drop in on your way to work. Come after school. Stay for two minutes or the whole afternoon. And overnight, from 10pm to 8am, the room rests but the prayer doesn't - sign up for a slot and pray from home, from work, or out on a prayer walk, wherever you are.

Everyone welcome

Whether you've prayed a thousand times before or never really tried it — this is for you. Bring your questions, your doubts, your joy, your exhaustion. All of it belongs here.

“There's something so simple and so powerful about a room that never stops praying. Whatever you're carrying, whatever you're hoping for — come and lay it down. We can't wait to welcome you.”

— April Brown, Coordinator, Love Weston - Weston-super-Mare 24-7 Prayer Room

Choose your slot

We encourage you to sign up online to pray - in the Prayer Room, or from wherever you are - for any slots across the week, day or night. It only takes a minute, and it helps us keep the chain of prayer unbroken.

“Weston-super-Mare has a rich history of churches standing together, and this week is a beautiful expression of that unity. I'd encourage every church, every family, every individual — come and be part of what God wants to do in our town.”

— Revd. Craig Philbrick, President of Love Weston, Vicar of St Paul's Church

And if Weston isn't near you, you don't have to miss out — start your own prayer room. In your church, your youth group, your front room, your school common room. All it takes is a space, some people who want to pray, and a willingness to keep it going. Here’s some info to get you started.
